Hope you are rested up from last weekend, here comes another big one. The last weekend of lift service at Jackson Hole is guaranteed to be a wild one. People are going to be sending lines they have been putting off all season, and the average BAC on the hill should be floating about .10. Grab your best one piece and get after it.
Thursday, March 31- Brother Ali at the Cowboy Bar. Last time Brother Ali came by the Jackson, it was the party of the year. It may be a little spendy at $25, but do you want to miss the party of the year? Hip-hop at the Cowboy Bar seems strange. Just one more reason to go and enjoy a cool venue and not have to listen to country music. The evening is put on by Jackson Hole Snowboard Magazine and you can get tickets at JHsnowboarder.com. Show starts at 8.
Thurs-Saturday, March 31-April 2- Burton Snowboarding, I am Snowboarding and Asymbol at RARE Gallery. The show starts at 2pm each day and finishes at 7pm. The entrance is free and you will be able to see the roots of this amazing sport. Burton was kind enough to bring some of the gear from the very beginning day of snowboarding. There will also be artwork from locals Bryan Iguchi, and Mike Patillo.
Friday, April 1- Gapers Day, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. As the weather is looking right now, it should be a grand one. The sun is suppose to show it’s face and temperatures are going to be up in the 40s. There may be time in the morning to get some lines up high, but it then looks like Thunder Bumps will be the place to be in the afternoon. Just look for the neon colors, monoskis and snowblades, that is the party.
Sunday, April 3- Closing Day, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Sunday is the last day for rides on the big red box. After that, it will be a lot more work to get your turns. Enjoy lift access and then celebrate the sick season we were lucky to be a part of. Starting at 3pm, there will be DJs lined up under the tram. Just a reminder, be sly with your extracurricular activities or snowball throwing. The cops really enjoy putting a end to a good time. Also the START bus is a great way to go that day. No one wants to end the season in jail.
