Squaw ski freaks finally gained access to the upper mountain today after many a storm day and 179”  of snow.  3 days of hurricane force winds rendered the snow into a dense creamy windbuff that was great for skiing and not so great for hucking.  Although we got 179” out of this storm cycle, we really only got to ski the top 3” of that.

But, this is Squaw Valley and that didn’t stop the boys for one second.  Some of the biggest stuff at Squaw got hit today including:  Adrenaline Rock, Goodwill’s Air, Draft Rock (Chimney), Pony Express (Chimney), and V-Rock. People went off and the mountain went off right back on them.  I saw humans carted off by patrol on Granite Chief Peak, Mainline Pocket, and The Chimney today.  The Squaw freaks just simply weren’t gonna let anything get in between them and their airtime.  Hats off to you gents.  Squaw was an incredible show today.

In this video:  Sunshine, Blue Skies, Dan Scarcia stomping Draft Rock, Granite Chief Peak, Cornice II bowl airs, and thousands of hero points being racked up as spectators were everywhere.
