It’s getting to be that time of the year again when you realize that summer is just around the corner and you need a change from waiting on tables and kissing gapers asses. My former boss at Surefoot – Squaw Valley, Matthew Redman, dropped me this email “We are trying to do some last minute recruiting for my teach in Thailand program that begins at the beginning of May. We have about 80 schools still looking for teachers for the upcoming schoolyear (Thai academic year begins in May, making it a challenging time to find people ready to go). However, in a flash of inspiration, I thought all of the overqualified ski bums out there whose jobs are ending and snow is melting, may be looking for a 5month adventure. Just need people who have their bachelor’s and are willing to teach as well as travel.”

Teach English for 5 months in Thailand with CIEE beginning in May 2011. For 20 working hours a week you will be paid approximately 650USD, have a free place to live, and will have the opportunity to simultaneously help educate Thai children and have the tropical adventures of your dreams in Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. Visit www.ciee.org/teach/thailand for complete details or call 1-800-40-STUDY (ext 6). Deadline is May 31, so call soon!
