Gear Review - MFD AllTime

The MFD ALLTIME Alpine Touring binding system was specifically designed for freeriders in the USA. Until now skiers had to choose between touring bindings that have limited performance during the decent and alpine bindings that mostly cannot be used for touring. From aggressive resort skiing to efficient ski touring, the MFD ALLTIME is the first true crossover ski binding you can ski ALL-THE-TIME.

MFD is founded in the quest for the ultimate ski setup. The MFD ALLTIME sets a new standard for alpine touring (AT) bindings. The system allows skiers to use downhill bindings as AT bindings to ski and tour in the backcountry. The MFD ALLTIME binding system base plate solves this problem once and for all by adding a touring function to standard alpine binding. It is compatible with all major brands (except Marker) and once mounted between the ski and the binding it offers a rugged touring possibility and optimal handling.

Sage Cattabriga-Alosa swears by them, “finally giving alpine backcountry touring skiers a dependable, bomber, user friendly system to access the goods… I have been using The MFD All-Time for a year now (in prototype stage) and my life has changed.”

The MFD ALLTIME plate mounts to the ski itself, and then you mount your standard binding to the plate. The ALLTIME will come in three models, made to fit bindings of the Rossignol/Look systems, Salomon/Atomic, and Tyrolia/4Frnt/Head systems. Marker must wait. Expect the ALLTIME to retail for around $299.
