The 2011 Red Bull Cold Rush wrapped up yesterday with the final day of competition. Day 3 was the “Cliffs” portion of the comp and went down in “Zone 7”, one of Silverton’s many heli-zones. There were four distinct cliff areas that got hit with drops up to over 80 feet! The athletes got pretty crazy, throwing down some impressive flippy, spinny moves into not so deep snow. When all was said and done, Sean Petit was named champion of the 2011 Cold Rush, successfully reclaiming his title from last year. Having won this years Red Bull Linecatcher as well, Europe’s version of the Cold Rush, Sean Petit is pretty much the man when it comes to these type of comps!
