The snow in-bounds Whistler Blackcomb has been skied off, it always is the day after. Did I mention that I am spoiled and I want fresh snow. Maybe this is what drug addicts feel like when they keep coming back for more, but skiing shrelped snow sucks. I want to make my own tracks. Me. Me. Me.
With this being the case I drove 40k north of Whistler, picked up photographer Andrew Strain and we went for a day tour around the Joffre Lakes. If you have never been to Joffre Lakes Provincial Park I highly suggest you visit. The area is absolutely beautiful as steep rugged peaks and glaciers ย rise out of the alpine glacier lakes. Our day consisted of exploration as we tried to navigate to this cool looking chute, but Andrew and I backed out due to a hanging snow field that we decided not to cross. ย The rest of the day brought flat light and fun pillow-land skiing.
