There were some really strong runs thrown down today at Kirkwood for the North American Freeskiing Championships. Stand outs included Riley Bernseng, Kevin O’Meara, Josh Daiek, and Eric Bryant. For the ladies Vanessa Aadland, Nat Segal and Sasha Dingle were impressive. The storm blew in hard during Jamie Blair’s run and he and all the men after him had some really rough visibility conditions. The last five men from the wait list did not get to ski due to the weather. This was a real bummer because some big names including Willie Schneider and Duncan Adams got bumped.

The forecast is calling for some serious snow in the next 36 hours. We might see 3-5 feet. That would be epic for the Day 1 and Day 2 venues on the Cirque. These venues are the best on the WFT and contain some of the largest hittable cliffs I have seen inside of a ski resort. When the sun comes out people will be sending huge!

If you are interested in watching the finals for the North American Freeskiing Championships check out the MSI website at: www.freeskiingworldtour.com.  The event for tomorrow has been postponed for at least a day so the storm can do its thing. I will keep you posted with results, start times and start lists for the rest of the comp. Shred on!!!
