I’m a bit of a coffee snob. I know what you’re thinking- Dexter, I pictured you as a gas-station, $0.99 special type of guy. Not the case. I enjoy a good cup of Joe, and that’s why I hit up Elevated Grounds on the way to the hill (almost) every morning (3445 N. Pines Way Suite #102- off the Village Road).

The atmosphere is cozy and modern- yet lacks the hipster vibe of a lot of urban coffee shops. The food- pastries, sandwiches, salads and soups- is all amazing. Plus, it’s conveniently located just off the village road on the way to the hill.

Oh, I almost forgot, one of the coolest features of Elevated Grounds is the rotating collection of artwork from local artists that decorates the walls. The collections are truly amazing and highlight some of Jackson’s most amazing artists. So next time you’re on your way out to the village, leave a little early and take in the coffee, food, and atmosphere of Elevated Grounds.
