This is parts 5 and 6 from Soulstice Films release “Detours”, released around 1999/2000. This film was directed by Riley Morton and documented the ski bum lifestyles in ski towns such as Telluride, Taos, Whitefish, Fernie, and Red Mountain. These two parts are about Telluride and features locals “Captain” Jack Carey, Herb Manning, Gabe Wright, Greg Gallo, Chris White, Amy Peterson, Isabel Gould, and Seth Green. There is some great footage in here of the great skiing/riding of these locals as well as some awesome interviews. I love Herb Manning and his “Gaper Killer” ski pole dart gun! The best part of this whole film is the amazing footage of the late, great Captain Jack. The interviews with him are priceless and so funny. RIP.
