The snow was wicked fast today at Snowbird. It was really fun to speed around the empty slopes and enjoy the lack of crowds before the big Presidents Day Weekend. The light was excellent on all aspects except for Silver Fox. The Fox was a good mix of wind buff and mellow bumps, but the light in the shadows was ultra flat and made for some tricky turns. It was warm as hell again today with temps kicking around 40 degrees, but the snow stayed firm and fast even on West facing slopes.Baldy was actually skiing really well again today. The Fields of Glory were firm wind buff that you could really haul ass on if you had the edges and the stones. Everyone is getting excited for the storm on the horizon. We could definitely use some snow after the warm dry week we have just had. Bring it on.
