The clouds finally parted over Snowbird today for what felt like the first time all year. In actual fact, is was one of the only bluebird pow days we have had this season. And man oh man oh man what a day it was! Cirque and Baldy were off the hook. It was what Jay France would call a “HOA day.” That stands for Huck Off Anything for those unfamiliar with Mr. France.
The canyon jam was in full effect this morning, but after a brief hour and a half in the lineup we were rolling. I was lucky enough to catch two trams before the masses made it up the canyon. The tram line got a little crazy for a while and Peruvian was the place to be until….Mineral to the rescue! The tram line was down to a one tram wait or less by 12:30pm, thanks Mineral.
I am calling today the best day of the season at Snowbird and if you have a problem with that you are an idiot. The skiing was awesome, the landings were even better, and the light was perfect. What more can you ask for? A rub down and a free car? If you were at Snowbird you know how good it was. If you were not, I hope you make it up for the next good one. Peace!
