Skiing today was interesting. After single digit temps during the day yesterday, today saw plenty of sunshine and warmed up into the high teens! Unfortunately, everything was pretty wind affected from last night making it an effort to find some decent snow conditions. My friends Brian, Dave, and I decided to check out Reggae Route and were lucky to get some decent turns heading into the Creek.

In the upper trees and chutes, the snow was predictable and not too wind blown. It was really fun actually and better than we thought! As we got closer to the bottom, the skiing got worse and the snow more difficult to predict. It was slabby in places and definitely skied-off. Our lack of a solid base is very apparent down low. Some of the chokes are pretty sketchy right now and demand some bushwhacking to get through or around them. Keep this in mind if you are heading out the lower gates, but the turns up top made it worth it. Definitely a fun adventure!
