Yep, it hasn’t snowed at squaw in over 28 days.  We did got some good snow today, but it wasn’t quite enough to make it epic.  Anything steep had slid and was icy.  You were an unintelligent beast, at best, if you tried to huck anything and even skiing fast wasn’t the smartest thing you could do.

I’m sorry, did I hear someone say “Mhey, dust on crust.” Oh, did I? Well, bravo my witty, cliché conscious friend. Lemme tell ya somethin’: This was the sickest day of dust on crust you’ll ski in two months, dammit.

Because low angle, slow motion powder turns in 8 inches of blower snow were the balls today.  I love days like today.  You can ski mellow terrain, laugh your ass off all day, grab a pizza bagel without feeling guilty for missing out, and not do anything scary at all.
Patrol didn’t open Granite Chief today and I’ve got my fingers crossed for it to open straight away tomorrow.  Mainline Pocket did open, but I didn’t get a chance to see if it was good or not. The End.
