The week ahead is a biggie with Christmas on Saturday and New Years right around the corner. There are big crowds around for the holidays and some fun events this week. Here are a few top picks, definitely some quality shows this week.

Friday, Dec. 24 – Vinyl Meningitis @ The Llama. FREE! 10pm. You can’t beat free music on Christmas Eve! LlamaTelluride.com

Saturday, Dec. 25 – The Great Funktier @ The Llama. $5 @ 10pm. Funk on Christmas Day, could be fun for the family visiting for the holidays! LlamaTelluride.com

Monday, Dec. 27 – An Acoustic Evening with Shawn Colvin & John Oates. This is a pretty funny duo performing at the Sheridan Opera House. Might be worth the price of admission, not sure yet. Tuesday, Dec. 28 – Free Champagne Tasting. Sample some free bubbly before New Years at Pac. Street Liquors(Wine Mine). 4-7pm. SWEET! Wine-Mine.com

Wednesday, Dec. 29 – Satisfaction: A Tribute to the Rolling Stones. At the Sheridan Opera House @ 8pm. General Admission tickets are $20 and reserved seats are $25. Check out their website, rollingstoneshow.com. Pretty funny stuff!

Thursday, Dec. 30 – Matchstick Productions “The Way I See It” & Silent Auction. Fundraiser at the Palm Theater for the Telluride Ski & Snowboard Club with screenings at 7 & 9pm. Thursday, Dec. 30 – Solo Acoustic Performance by Citizen Cope. At the Sheridan Opera House @ 8pm. $20 for General Admission tickets. This should be a cool show, this guy is really good if you have not heard him. citizencope.com
