December 24th, also known as christmas eve, was another deep powder day in whistler.  The mountains have received 85 cm’s of fresh snow in the last 48hrs, and the local forecaster is calling for another 30-40cm’s in the next 24 hrs.  All this snow has raised the avalanche warning to extreme in the alpine forcing WB to keep the alpine terrain closed once again today.  The line ups we’re long in the morning, but it was well worth the wait.  Once the Crystal Ridge chair opened, there was more than enough snow to keep all the powder hounds happy.  The trees are deep and the hounds are constantly growing more and more eager as the days tick by with no alpine access and plenty of snow accumulation.  Looking forward to more of the same deep fluffy presents under the trees on christmas morning.
