Today was a rare sunny day this season here Jackson, WY. It was a great change of pace, but I am ready for the next storm. In order to find the huge areas of untracked powder that we have been riding, it involves walking a little more. The resort is still riding well, but not amazing. The bowl is chopped up and the south facing slopes are heavy or hard from the sun. As always the north facing slopes are riding soft and there are still some pockets of untracked to be found.
The crowds are very small, especially for the holidays. Guess the locals are taking a break now there is no fresh snow. No rush to get out there on Christmas morn unless you are looking for a big tour. The non-north facing snow could use a little time to soften up. But, I recommend getting out there. No crowds and good snow are a great thing to do on Dec. 25
