The Farmers Almanac Weather – Winter 2011 Predictions
The Farmers Almanac has released their Winter 2011 predictions. Their predictions for temperatures and snowfall during the winter months of 2010 and into 2011 they state that "across the Western states (Pacific Coast to the Rockies), a "milder-than-normal" winter is expected. The Midwest and central states should expect about normal winter temperatures."
noaa.gov has also given their winter 2011 outlook and it states that Tahoe has an "EQUAL CHANCES OF BELOW, NEAR, AND ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE AND PRECIPITATION" but it also states that "CONDITIONS FAVOR ABOVE MEDIAN PRECIPITATION AMOUNTS IN FOR THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST"(NOAA.gov – Wet Season 2010/2011 Outlook: La Nina)
