After a two day bus ride from Las Lenas the group had finally arrived in Santiago. I was flying out later the following day along with the rest of the MSI media crew.
Keith Calrsen, Sarah Lyman and I headed into downtown Santiago to check out the sites and take some photos. While there photos, I'm sure turned out much better than mine. I managed to take a few that give you a little bit of an idea of what was going on.
We had gone in to Santiago so Keith could take some photos of me. I'm very camera shy, even more so when it's in the middle of a large city like Santiago. Amongst picture taking we checked out the coffee shops, the entrance shown above. I'm actually a little bummed I did'nt get an inside shop. It was all women dressed up like the rejects from a ZZ Top video serving coffee to mostly business men. A few shops down there was another coffee shop with women dressed up like catholic school girls. It was pretty interesting to say the least.
One of the props we used for the shoot was this odd newspaper we found at one of the stands. My spanish is awful so I have no idea what it says, but it was still quite amusing.
I also spent some time getting my TOMS "pollished" while Keith captured the shot. This poor guy had no idea what was going on. I can only imagine what was going through his mind while I sat there and he brushed my canvas shoes.
Unfortunately we didn't have much time to explore more. We all had to catch a flight back home. On our way out to the cab we noticed a cover shot of my fellow North Face team mate Chopo Diaz. Chopo won the second stop of the Freeskiing World Tour in rental boots! Way to go Chopo!
