We also made the class four scramble to the summit. I took climbing shoes, Pat (a much better climber than I) did it in his snowboard boots. There was definitely some exposure, and it was exiting for me. As far as we could tell from the summit register, no one had been to the summit since October.
The summit of Humphreys (13,986ft) was awesome. It's the highest peak in the sierra north of the palisades, and the views were awesome. In this shot, looking south, you can see the top of some classic couloirs (kindergarten, checkered demon, zebra, north emerson) and you can see Mt. Sill and N. Palisade. I think we could see Whitney too, but it was a little hazy.
