Squaw Valley Hosts Queen of the Park Event on March 20
SQUAW VALLEY, Calif. – Girl Powder’s Third Annual Queen of the Park is coming to Squaw Valley USA Saturday. Queen of the Park is a park event open to girls of all ages. The event gives girls a chance to show the world what they do on the slopes while establishing a greater sense of community among female park riders. The event will kick off at 3 pm on Exhibition. As the event will be hosted at the base of the mountain, lift tickets are not required for competitors or spectators.
Registration will be held in the Squaw Valley Village Saturday, March 20 from 9 am to 3 pm, while spots are available. The cost to enter is $20 and all competitors will receive a Queen ofthe Park T-shirt. Girl Powder’s Queen of the Park will take place on Exhibition at the base of the mountain, and the competition will start promptly at 3 pm.
Immediately following the competition will be Girl Powder’s “Token Drag Queen” competition starting at 4:30 pm. Dudes who like to shred while dressed in drag should check-in at registration to sign a waiver between 9 am and 4 pm. Registration for the Drag Queen competition is free.

Squaw Valley Lagoon Opens
What: DJ Pool Party to celebrate the kick off of the spring season and opening of the heated pool and hot tub area. Expect some partying to be going on as it's always a good time drinking poolside and taking in the views from 8,200 ft.
When: Saturday March 20th 1:00 – 4:00pm

Jackie Greene Concert
What: They call him the prince of acoustic guitar. Jackie Greene is an up and coming singer/songwriter that plays mellow and soulful music. He was a big hit in Bonaroo this past year and now you can have a chance to check him out here in Tahoe. (If mellow acoustic beats and soft words are your thing)
