As security is key for all freeride competitions, Nicolas Hale-Woods and the team of mountain guides have decided that heavy snowfall over the last 24 hours combined with high winds would not allow for optimal security conditions to hold the competition on the last reserve day Monday, January 25th. Therefore, they have postponed the competition to take place in Chamonix just after the Nissan Freeride de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.
The Nissan Freeride de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc is scheduled for Saturday, January 30th, so the riders will draw bibs for this competition separately along with the Wild Cards that have been invited to the event.
The Nissan Russian Adventure by Swatch will take place the next possible day following the Nissan Freeride de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc using the Start List established in Sochi.
Riders will meet in Chamonix on Thursday for both events.
