I went backcountry yesterday, December 28th, with my good buddy Adam. We decided to go scope out a zone that we have both been drooling over for a couple years. The place ended up being even gnarlier than we’d remembered, especially with the low snow levels. We scoped the zone out and documented it well so that we can plot our imaginary radness on it’s face in the days to come between now and it filling in. We weren’t brave enough to sample the area we came to check out, but the tree skiing and the few pillows we found were fun. We even stumbled onto a fun chute that had a little mandatory drop. I can’t wait for this area to fill in so we can get up there and really scare the hell out of ourselves.
