Though I have pretty much only used this boot in Antarctica, skinning, boot packing, and skiing, I would say it is a great aggressive all mountain ski boot. – It is definitely a revolutionary mix of a resort alpine boot and an alpine touring boot. With Lange’s expertise in race and performance technology, this new addition with a walk-mode is a great addition to the Lange line up. – It features a 120 flex index, replaceable Vibram toe and heels for grip while walking, and a slightly wider toe box than their traditional boots at 102 mm. – The wider toe box is important for the purpose of the walk mode so that when you are skinning your foot can slide without have serious amounts of friction inside the boot. Other than that, it has all the bells and whistles such as, micro adjustable buckles, a heavy duty elastic power strap, cuff alignment and a comfy high density foam liner. Personally, I have a custom Surefoot liner which I highly recommend. – For more info check out Dynastar.com. Unofficial Rating: A
