Gear Review: Full Tilt Boots

By

Two seasons ago I found my first pair of Full Tilt Boots in Mike Wilson’s basement. It turned out to be the best pair of boots I ever found. Full Tilt Boots are pretty much the discontinued Raichle Boot, but on steroids. Since Full Tilt has gotten started they have manage to come up with 11 different styles of Boots to accommodate every skier out there. They have the stiff boots, such as the Seth Morrison Pro-Model, all the way to a youth boot for little shredders. The liners in all the boots have an additional layer of Powerwrap around the outside that gives more ankle stability and adds horsepower to the shell. The liners are also Heat Moldable to get that just right feeling in them. Along with the amazing liner the boots are made up of the lightest material on the market, making them 2lbs lighter per pair. The smart functional 3-Piece design allows the boot to have less plastic and gives it less bulk on the outside. Also, with the 3-Piece design, you will never have to wait for your boots to warm up before you can get them on, they slip on/off every time. With all this technology together it makes for a pretty impressive boot. – Tim Dutton
