Variant Brim Helmet All over Tahoe you are starting to see people gearing up for the start of the ski season. Helmets are at the top of many peoples list of new gear for 2009. Helmets are a tough thing to review because it really just comes down to what helmet feels most comfortable on you. Personally I ski with the Variant Brim by Smith. It’s a kick ass helmet that feels good on my head. At first I thought that the brim was kinda gimmicky but it does help cut down on some glare. Weth that is worth fighting it every time you go to put your goggles up? Jury is still out.
