Name: Scott Hanichen Age: 26 Live: Tahoe City Comp ski: Praxis Big Mountain 110 Poison: Tequilla 1. What is your Tahoe story? – After growing up playing hockey in Michigan I moved to Tahoe at 18 to live the dream for a year. That year turned into 8 real quick and I’ve been trying to convince myself to leave and go to school ever since. Skied Schralpine for a solid 6 seasons and made the jump to Squaw two winters ago. Looks like I won’t be leaving anytime soon! 2. What do you like most about competing on the Freeskiing World Tour? Any career highlights?- These skiers have showed me that everyday is a good day to charge, you can go out and ski the burls no matter the conditions. – Career Highlights: lay ahead 3. What is your favorite ski film? – 1999, Hot Dog, and Walls of Freedom 4. Favorite skier of all time? I’ll go with the Tahoe trilogy of Plake, Schmidt, and McConkey. When I was ten I dropped a t from my name so I could be more like Scot Schmidt.

5. How do you feel about being in the boy band ‘Kick Ass Blasters’? – It’s pretty much the sickest thing that’s ever happened to anybody. It’s allowing me take my ski bummery deeper and further than I ever thought possible. 6.- Do you listen to music when you ski?- Typical songs? – Only on the way up. Sing-along songs are the best 7. What’s worse, Gapers or Bro Bras? – Both highly entertaining parts of our culture but as long as you’re having a good time out there and not shitting in anybody else’s cereal you’re good with me.
