Day 1 venue: Eduardos Today Las Lenas had its first big mountain freeride comp in over eight years. – The field consisted of 28 riders coming from Argentina, Spain, France,- Czechoslovakia, Finland and the U.S. – Things have been a bit difficult for organizers and competitors alike without having the Marte lift open. – Everyone has been escorted by snowcats which take a while and limit our amount of skiing. – Nonetheless, things went off with some great skiing in variable snow conditions and a long ASS run. – Personally, I felt like my legs were going to fall off and I’ve been skiing all summer. – Kick Ass Blaster Mattias Sullivan is going into the finals sitting in 8th place and unfortunately Scott Hanichen went for it all and took a big cliff to flat that didn’t work out too well.
