Speaking of Tioga Pass, for those of you that haven’t gotten your fix of winter sports for this season, Mammoth Mountain is still running some lifts and plan on doing so until June 14th.- The Mammoth website offers the following report for today, May 20, 2009: Tioga Pass through Yosemite is now open for the summer! The 8:00 a.m. temp at Main Lodge was 45 degrees with 15-20mph winds.- Up at the summit, the 8:00 a.m. temp was 32 degrees with 50 mph winds.- The following lifts will run today out of Main Lodge: Broadway Express, Stump Alley Express, Face Lift Express and the Upper and Lower Panorama Gondolas. Lifts are currently open from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. daily servicing a base of 3-6 feet of machine groomed snow. Mammoth will remain open for skiing and snowboarding through June 14th, and possibly later. Sierra Star is scheduled to open this Friday, May 22nd, so be ready for some ski/golf getaways. Updated at 8:06am on 5/20/09. So far this season Mammoth has received over 475 in. of snow and it is still going strong.- If you plan on going, be sure to check the weather.- From the looks of it, the low’s are only getting into the mid to upper-30’s, so don’t expect that famous corn that Squaw was producing before it closed.
