There was some good skiing to be had today at Squaw Valley USA. Granite Chief Peak opened this afternoon and was a whole lot of fun. I am always impressed with the quality of tracks that are still being put down this late into the season. Most of the people out skiing today ended things off with a “extreme reverse traverse” from the top of Shirley all the way around to the Palisades and Headwall. Since this terrain has not been skied in days it was all super buffed and skiing well.
