Not too much going on in the Valley compared to last weekend.- With the weather the way it is until Sunday, looks like it’s going to be pretty slow.- But if you are in the Valley already or planning on coming up regardless, here is a few things that might interest you. Tonight, COLLIE BUDDZ – Backed by the New Kingston Band – will be playing at the OVL (Olympic Village Lodge) starting at 9.- I’ve never heard of him, but I did check out his myspace page and his stuff sounds pretty good.- I guess I will describe it as a hip-hop/reggae blend (I guess, anyway).- Actually, shows over there can be pretty fun – it’s a big venue (for the valley), they have the porch open to get some air and drinks are reasonably priced.- It’s 21+ and $20 for advance tickets, not sure about at the door. BUY TICKETS On second thought I have heard Collie Buddz, his song “Blind to You” just came up on my playlist (that guy is white?). Check it out. Le Chamois is planning to have their Appreciation Day tomorrow (Saturday), but we’ll have to see what happens with the weather.- It’s just too bad we don’t have last weekends sunshine.- Needless to say, Chamois appreciation day always draws big crowds and is a great time every year, just be sure to get in the front of the picture if you manage it. This Sunday, Squaw Valley is selling tickets for just $20 as part of Meet Your Mountain Day hosted by 101.5 FM.- If you don’t have a season or spring pass, I would recommend getting out to take advantage of the low price and what looks like is going to be the only nice day of the weekend.
