Squaw Valley's Season Passholder Party Wrap-Up

By

High Camp

Yesterday, Squaw Valley showed their appreciation to its dedicated skiiers and snowboarders by holding the Annual Season Passholders party, and the weather could not have been better.- All in all, it was a very fun event that surely seemed to top years prior. After arriving at High Camp, each passholder was awarded a really nice, light blue, passholder party t-shirt.- That sure did beat the laniard everyone received last year! Another thing Squaw Valley seemed to step up was the choice of food.- They had everything from hand rolled sushi, to shrimp cocktail, to ribs and shish cabobs.- Although, the line for the buffet was about a mile long, I won’t hold that against anybody. A fun moment came in the middle of the party when a guy decided to drop about 7 or 8 ft into the pool wearing ALL of his ski gear.- Needless to say, the crowd was putting on the pressure and everyone had a good cheer when he finally went for it. I looked over at some security guards as this was happening and the look on their face said, “just jump already so we can kick you out and move on with our lives.”- The guy did have some trouble swimming out with all the extra weight, but you could tell he was enjoying his fifteen minutes.- If anyone has a shots of this, please send them to info@unofficialsquaw.com, and we’ll get them up. Another highlight was the raffle.- Amongst typical items you would see in a ski raffle, one item that stuck out was a vintage KT-22 double chair.- I think everyone was searching for their tickets when that hit the block.- Some guy with a parat, sorry a Macaw, ended winning it but the Macaw seemed to have a little case of stage fright and wouldn’t speak to the crowd. Perhaps he was in awe of Mosely standing next to him or something, I don’t know. The party ended promptly at 4:00 and continued at the Chamois until the sun dipped below tram rock.- It was a great day to end a beautiful weekend at Squaw.
