It’s just down right nasty out.

Update 1:30p.m. – Only the lower mountain is open. Funitel shut down around 10:30 this morning because of high winds. The snow is super saturated and there are point releases all over the mountain. Almost the entire West Face slid limiting skiing off KT too just the Saddle. The snow is super sticky, your best bet is to get rockered / reverse camber skis under your feet or plan on staying on the groomers.

It was really howling up top with tons of wind loading. Unofficial/Official word on the street is that National Chute slid and left a 8 foot crown. It’s really heavy slow moving stuff but be careful if you plan on doing anything stupid.

8:30a.m. – Rain fell on the valley floor all night but you can hear that control work is underway on the upper mountain. It is imposable to say how much they received up top but the “official” word is a foot.

I am heading up to investigate and will have a report later this morning.
