Powder Day At Squaw Valley.

Last night we received a good helping of super light snow and the skiing was great from top to bottom. There was over 2 feet of snow up in Granite and pockets of over a foot off KT. Once again there were very few skiers up on the hill, which left plenty of fresh to go around.

GCP opened right off the bat and looked quite nice. The Palisades opened for less then an hour around midday but were shut down do to “low visibility”. Tower 16 and Broken Arrow also opened today with some really good conditions. At One o’clock I headed over to KT to find relatively few tracks. Red Dog Ridge and O’ly Lady held fresh until almost the close of the day. The real stash was under the Alternates, which had still not been touched.

Its looking like we are heading into a dry week ahead so this might have been the last deep snow we will see for the month of January. That being said I think you will still be able to find some good skiing tomorrow morning.
