this photo was taken at 3.30pm today when the tractor shed door was rolled up. Gives you a good idea of the scale of this epic snowfall. At 125cm it is one of the biggest accumulations we have seen in a 24hr period.

The New Zealand ski resort Craigieburn just picked up 125cm of new snow in 24 hours! Ready to go skiing? Resort Opens 30th June.

Well folk this was a classic canterbury munter snow storm. All over rover with 125cm in the car park! Yep you heard me 125cm!! Madness! Will hopefully have some photos from around the lodges for you a little later on. Bring on June 30th!

The funnest part about skiing in NZ is taking on the sketchy roads up the hill. Ski the tiny resorts there and your bored by mid morning. I must admit craigieburn looks ok but i have never heard of it

That and the rope tows. Craigeburn is one of the best places to ride anywhere. On a busy day there might be 40 people there.

Craigieburn is one of the best resorts in NZ, another is Mt. Olympus. They actually have decent terrain unlike a lot of the commercial fields.

At the end of the day they don’t compare to resorts in Europe, North America and Japan but there’s no place like home!

Bring on the middle basin chutes!
And for those of you who think the club fields are ‘boring’ then go back to a commercial field as that’s not what the clubbies are about.

Yeah the clubbies suck, no exciting terrain and they don’t even have real lifts. Everyone stay at Coronet or Cadrona please
