2-3 Feet of new snow will have Squaw beaming again.  These storms are forecasted to be cold enough for us to get some fun storm day skiing in.  Only tomorrow looks rainy.  From then on, it’s gonna be quality storm skiin’.

Squaw is BACK!  and everything is gonna be good again from KT-22 to the Chimney in the coming week.  It’s a good week to be in Squaw.

NOAA.gov:

“A pair of storm systems will impact the region this week bringing wind, rain, snow, and cooler temperatures. The first low, which can be seen in the water vapor satellite image on the left, will dig down the pacific coast, finally pushing into the region Tuesday night into Wednesday, seen in the image on the right. Ahead of the system, winds will be gusty Tuesday afternoon with gusts of 40 to 45 mph expected. There is a slight chance of thunderstorms Tuesday night into Wednesday as the system moves inland. This system will usher in a cooler air mass with high temperatures Wednesday and Thursday about 5 to 10 degrees below normal. A second system, which can also be seen in the image on the right, will push into the area Thursday night into Friday, bringing a reinforcing shot of cold air and additional chances for precipitation. The southerly flow of both systems is not the best for precipitation, but the Sierra will see accumulating snow with showers for Western Nevada valleys.” – noaa.gov

Tahoe is being completely revamped this spring.  After one of the worst winters ever, Tahoe is looking F.I.N.E. fine this spring.  The skiing has truly been fantastic here since the first week of March with no end in sight.  It’s starting to look like we might be getting storms right up until the end of April.

Bring it on.  Astonishing April begins…
