Twenty years ago today, the film Aspen Extreme hit the silver screen. The film would go on to become an industry classic, quoted time and time again on chairlifts from Detroit to Aspen. The story of T.J. Burke and his sidekick Dexter Rutecki would change the direction of many young, aspiring ski bums lives.
SICK!!! Classic flick.
Skiing’s the easy part Carl.
600 acres of gape
And The Chronic came out 20 years ago too.
“These guys are good Teej.”
“Yeah, but they’re not from Detroit.”
And I’ve skied Mt. Brighton not knowing the significance of the area to the movie only wanting to ski a little backyard hill. It was only when I walked into the ski shop that I was told of the part Mt. Brighton played in the movie. I recently heard Vail corp. bought the area. Ironic!
Skiing out of bounds is illegal you know…
TJ Burke show…coming at ya live!
