This does not make me miss park skiing. Tanner, with the utmost respect to your competitive and film accomplishments and your recovery from injuries and addictions, I don’t think I would like you in person. I applaud you supporting a friend before his big trick, but maybe its your repetition or maybe its your accent or maybe its the vernacular of “you got this”, “c’mon”, “history books”, “fuckin’ send it, son”, “son”, “son”, etc. I just got tired of this image that park skiers try to look and sound like. It grates on me. Not to say backcountry skiers can’t be snobs or pretentious on occasion, but as a whole they sure seem a lot more mature.
I apologize if I offend, sound jaded or just tired. Because I am.

Completely agree on both counts of park and backcountry which I do enjoy both of but its hard to spend a day in the park without wanting to strangle some rich white kid acting gangsta and hard to find touring buddies that actually want to have fun and mess around without being either a moron or a pompous asshole…
