Here is a video of the winning men’s ski run at the Verbier Xtreme this year.   As you can see the conditions were very difficult, but Aurelien put down an amazing line.   He had two of the biggest airs of the day and some very technical exposed skiing to get to those cliffs.  It was a stand out runs that gave him the victory in Verbier and the top spot for the season on the Freeride World Tour.  The other winners on the day were Xavier De La Rue, men’s snowboard,  Janette Hargin, woman’s ski, and Anne-Flore Marxer in woman’s snowboard.

Today was DEEP. Overnight we received about a half a foot more of cold smoke making the storm total around 15 inches of pure blower. It was plenty to go around at the resort and elsewhere. Powder grins were prevalent and face shots were certain. We explored and found it to be nip deep.
