Whistler has released the trailer for the Wonder Reels, a seven part series filmed and edited by Switchback Entertainment and Sherpas Cinemas, that explores the mountain through the eyes of the people who make Whistler so awesome. With episode names like Snow, The Pass, The Deep,  and The Crossing this video series is pretty intriguing.

Some snow sliders are also kayakers and vice-versa, but all extreme athletes can appreciate insane kayaking like this. if you have some more time explore the whole Rider of the Year II Awards site and check out some other videos, but Taylor Robertson‘s log slide down a waterfall, although without a tall tee, brings some winter swagger into kayaking. The Telus Fest is kicking off tomorrow and this is a taste of what might go down. Some skiing and some flippy-spins probably. Maybe a double cork or a tripple. Some general debauchery, parties, Australians, and concerts. Naked folks on skis and in water. Large novelty checks, and overall fun times. So if you are within airplane distance of Whistler, then get on said airplane and check out the Telus Fest. You’ll like the way the next 10 days turn out; I guarantee it.
