Yesterday was probably the deepest day of the year here in Telluride, even though the lifts shut down over three weeks ago. After a few days of pretty consistent snow fall, it absolutely dumped yesterday leaving the mountain blanketed in over 2 feet of fresh pow. This is an awesome clip from Felt Soul Media. Titled FACE, this clip highlights the beauty of the face shot, filmed here at Telluride on a Canon 7D with a 15mm fisheye lens. Felt Soul Media is Ben Knight and Travis Rummel, and they are based out of Telluride. The image quality and editing are top notch here and I really enjoyed it. Hope you do as well. This is a sweet video from local ripper Casey Riva skiing Nellie back on April 4th, the day after the resort closed. The following description is from his vimeo page. “The last day of the Telluride season was a full on blizzard, the following day… Bluebird. My friends and I hike up the resort and dropped off the other side. What was waiting was over a foot of fluffy white powder with no people in sight. one of the best runs of the season.”

Awesome video from Darren Jack, Speedflying here in Telluride back in Bear Creek. This looks like so much fun and Bear Creek must be an awesome place to do it. Definitely a nice option when the Avy Danger is high!

Here is a nice video by Emory Smith from yesterday. The mountain was reporting 3″ new in the morning but was much deeper when the goods were sampled. Areas of blower were 12″ or more and the crowds were minimal. All day, there were stashes to be found all over. This video is evidence to how good 3″ over night can be at Telluride.
