I found this video on the web this morning. It’s supposedly from yesterday, August 1st, 2011 and it looks like Las Leñas was pretty damn good yesterday. The video is all helmet cam, but it gives you a solid understanding of the conditions off the Marte. Deep, dry powder and lots of it.
Nevados de Chillan has been getting pounded this summer. The most recent storm footage reminds of Tahoe in March, 2011. Life is good in Chillan, Chile right now. If you don’t speak spanish, this post is essentially saying that it was EPIC on July 17th, 2011 after 10 feet of snow in 4 days.

Today was supposed to be clear. Weather forecasts are extremely unreliable down here because, well hell, because we’re in Patagonia and there isn’t much land between two enormous cold wintery oceans.
