There is still snow in them thar’ hills! You just have to look a lot harder than normal. Looks like Nate Fillnow and his buddy Chris found some White Gold in Main Chute on Sunday of this week. Yeah, it was rocks as hell but these guys made it look fun. Like Nate said in his email to me, “November can’t come soon enough.” Maybe October will be good too. Fingers crossed!

Eye of the Condor Returns to Ski La Parva | Annual Photo/Video Contest Partners with iF3

Yesterday, Ski La Parva announced its second edition of its annual photo/film contest, Eye of the Condor. Last year’s contest featured some of the best names in skiing, including Sean Pettit, Pep Fujas, and Rachael Burks. The annual contest gives teams of 3-5 people free reign on La Parva’s terrain to produce a short edit and a five-photo submission. Cash prizes are given for the best film, best photo edit, and the “People’s Choice Award.” Check out DubSatch’s winning edit from last year:

Additionally, this year’s winning films will be showcased internationally at iF3 Film Festivals. At least while we’re all starring at our computers, dreaming about winter, somebody will be getting it down south.

This past summer in South America was spectacular…depending on where you were.  It seemed to snow every four of five days for four or five days in Patagonia & Las Leñas had a couple all-time weeks.

This video was filmed in Las Leñas, Argentina, Bariloche, Argentina and in the backcountry that surrounds them both.
