We lost Shane on this day, two years ago, while he was ski-basing in the Italian Dolomite’s. His impact on the ski industry, and the ski world in general, was enormous, but perhaps more importantly, Shane showed us how to live life to the fullest, and never take ourselves to seriously.  Thanks Shane!

Parker Russel is an 11-year-old skier from California that is already better than you are.  But it doesn’t stop there.  This kid can video edit, use the computer like a nerdy Apple software engineer (which plague the slopes of Squaw every weekend ‘sup Reese), and converse more intelligently than 94% of all the ski bums in Tahoe.

Another great day of powder skiing. Squaw Valley is reporting 670″ @8200′ and 430″ at 6,200′. Miles skis McConkeys, Josh Anderson attempts a rather large backflip off My Air as well as a Lincoln Loop off the Ring Finger, other shenanigans ensure. Low POV video.

The sun finally poked out for a few hours yesterday, I forgot how nice it is to ski in the sun.  I was supposed to to ski a few runs in the coin-op race course for our Village “race league” team, but the start house and all the gates were buried in about 10 feet of snow.  Oh well, time to ski more powder.
