Summer Fun in Jackson Hole | No Name Lake: Pond Skimming and Hucking Carcass | You Will Enjoy this Video!

September 16th, 2011 by

Earlier this week, a few motivated souls made the trek to No Name Lake with their ski gear and high hopes.  The plan was to pond skim across this high alpine body of water.  As always, it turned out to be a great adventure, but the goal was never met.    All the attempts ended in serious soakers and a frigid walk out.  With everyone packing cameras including the paragliders, the edit contains many different angles of the days action.

Las Leñas | Powder, Corn and 57º Slopes

September 15th, 2011 by

Hope everyone enjoyed chasing the storm in Baraloche.  I know the folks in the Valle De Las Lenas are happy you did.  Things are nice and quiet here allowing time for leisurely walks to find the goods.  And there are some.  Up high is still holding great old pow and the corn skiing is nice and smooth.  Getting to and out of places is a little more difficult due to lack of snow, but it is quality riding in September.

Jackson Summer Highlights: Skiing, Snowboarding, Climbing, Bikinis and…a Little Whiskey Drinking

September 14th, 2011 by

The guys and gals over at Ungrounded just put together this edit of various summer activities around Jackson and what appears to be Mantana. The artfully edited piece begins with some spring sessions in the Tetons, and then moves through the summer months. Climbing begins around 2:47 and fills out there rest of the edit…with some various wildlife (and not so wildlife)  filtered in there for variety. Plus there’s a rewind of fireworks that is pretty neat as well. Although this edit may have gotten me more stoked for summer, we here at Unofficial are still glad it’s nearly winter.

Action Brothers Drop Trailer for “Snow Territory”- Russian Ski Porn

September 8th, 2011 by

If you haven’t heard of Action Brothers, it’s probably because you don’t live in Russia and follow the hardcore freeride scene. With the 2014 Olympics in Sochi, Russia approaching, new lift infrastructure has opened up new terrain, and a tight group of Russians have begun to explore that terrain. For a country that’s majorly separated from the mainstream ski media, it’s pretty impressive what they get done. If nothing else, this clip gives you a glimpse into the major destination that Russia is becoming. I can’t understand what they’re saying, but I like to think its about how much fun they’re having…or how they’re trying a triple cork next year.

First of all, if you haven’t seen the official trailer for this video, watch it!
