Gavin Smiths December 2012 Edit

Gavin Smith is getting to be quite the regular here on Unofficial and that is by no luck.  Gavin continues to blow our minds here at UnofficialSnowbird for always pushing the limits of what we think can be done.

Some of the lines crushed include: Jaws, Diagonal Chute Cliffs, High Speed Double, Straigtlines in the Silverfox Bush Cliffs, Straigtline into Daltons and turning the Hanging Bowl Double into a SINGLE!  There are many more lines I have witnessed Gavin crushing on a near daily basis at The Bird too.

Vanessa Aadlands Early Season Shr-edit

December 20th, 2012 by

Vanessa Aadland is one of Little Cottonwoods up and coming greats and has been tearing up the slopes seemingly daily since the first snowfall almost 2 months ago.  In the last week the season has REALLY begun with a season total of 130 inches so far which was helped by nearly 40 inches last week.  However all this took place before then.  More than nearly anyone Vanessa is always out with a crew of rippers and a growing skill set that is each day becoming bigger than her always persistent smile no matter what the conditions.

Keep at it Vanessa, we look forward to seeing more of you this season!

Gavin Smith Early Season Snowbird Edit

December 10th, 2012 by

The early season shredding at Snowbird has been improving in the last few days. With about a foot of new fluff out there this weekend things are softened up a bit on the upper mountain and the rocks are just a little more covered than they were last week. Gavin Smith and his homies Nick Greener and Eric Fabbri have been charging hard all year regardless of snow conditions. You can see lines like Macaroni Chute, Elevator, Rock Chute and South Chute go down in this edit with some low tide conditions.

Panda Poles 2011-12 Recap

December 5th, 2012 by

Tanner, Chuck and OWA give and interesting recap of what went down with the Panda tribe last season. From training with Chuck to the comp circuit with OWA it was a very successful season for our bamboo gripping brothers. The edit runs a little long, but stick around until the end or a special Panda promotion.
