Mike Wilson 100 Foot Double Backflip Off The Fingers at Squaw

The craziest thing about this 100’ double back was that there was only about 4” of soft snow on top of a very hard layer.  Mike supposedly didn’t ski for a month after taking this hit.  Does that landing look soft to you?

This all went down last year during the epic La Niña ridiculousness.  Hopefully we get enough snow again this year to get some more heart stopping stunts from Mikey.

Jackson Hole Winter Preview 2012 | La Niña is Back!

Unless you’ve completely checked out of the skiing/snowboarding/weather world, you probably know La Niña is back. Hopefully, it’s as good (or at close to as good) as last year. Remember that? When it snowed every other day practically? Yeah, that was great. In case you forgot, here’s a reminder from the guys at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.  Bring it!

 

DEEP La Nina Pow! | Salomon Freeski TV Season 5 Episode 1 ‘La Nina’.

Salomon Freeski TV released their first episode of the new season today and she’s a doozy! Season 5 of their web-series drops with six and a half minutes of Mark Abma, Mike Douglas, Cody Townsend, Chris Rubens, James Heim and Dane Tudor shredding DEEP PNW La Nina pow from last season. Featuring AMAZING trees, pillows, jibs, rowdy lines, and so many faceshots; this killer edit will get you FIRED UP!

Salomon has really stepped it up with their Freeski TV series the last few years and I can’t wait to see them keep coming. They have been releasing about 20 a season, so keep checking back to Unofficial Networks this winter for all their episodes.
