Kenjiro Matsuo – Back in Action….Kinda

Kenjiro made it out of a shaken up Japan just in time to shred some sick Utah pow. Unfortunately he busted himself up on like his sixth day here by going 40 feet to rocks in the Forbidden zone. (See video at 0:55) His ankle injury has not slowed him down too much, because he is way tougher than you will ever dream of being. Check out the edit he put together in just 10 short days in Utah. So lets see, Kenjiro just survived a deadly earthquake, flew to the US, got hurt and has been here only 10 days total and he already made a quality edit. What is your excuse for not having one yet? Storm Day Charging…Best Season Ever!!!

March 28th, 2011 by

It was another storm day today at the Bird. I can’t believe we have only gotten 550″ so far this year, it feels like 10,000,000. I also can’t believe it is almost April, it was like 10 friggin degrees today with some majorly cold wind. We were dumb enough to ride Little Cloud. God that was dumb, dumb and freezing… In other news Kenjiro is back!

Kenjiro Matsuo all up in yo Face!

So here is a blast from the past of my good friend Kenjiro Matsuo of Tokoyo, Japan. This interview really captures his spirit and his personality.  He is a lot cooler than you are.

Kenjiro first came to SLC back in 2006 not knowing a single person or a single word of English.  He has become a fixture in the Snowbird scene and on the World Freeskiing Tour. He is now a proud father and husband in Japan.

We all have our fingers crossed that he can come play with us some more this winter.
