Eliel Hindert can be described with two words: Bouncy Ball. He’s basically a 15 year old boy trapped in a 22yr old body. Eliel is the the most excited human you’ll ever meet and he’s always doing something, always moving (trust me people this is more than add). This is a video from Eliel’s 2009/2010 season. Filmed entirely by Dendrite Studios. It’s F*ing sick! The kid sends.

Dendrite Studios had a big day: First their short six minute film Parallels secured a spot on Vimeo’s home page then another online/print publication by the name of USA Today promoted it  via their travel page. Pretty cool, 1. because Dendrite is Awesome. 2. Parallels was shot for the film competition Intersection (in Whistler) and in my opinion should’ve won but didn’t…So it’s cool to see Dendrite get the recognition they deserve.

Did you know that 99% of the powder is skied by 1% of the skiers.

Maxim is insane, but he’s also really good and really calculated. Just listen to him describe the line he just skied. With an strong accent he says, “prefect landing [...] like on the transition … cuz I’m crazy math-ematical with my shit…perfect”. (6:15 into the video)

Maxim skis some of the most technical/exposed lines, and charges with confidence. Check out his section in Out of the Shadows if you don’t believe me. Maxim Arsenault and Dendrite Studios dedicate their lives to the simplicity and adventure of the mountains, away from the occupied chaos of the cities. I can’t agree more…I’ve only been heli skiing once and I can’t compare it to anything I’ve ever done. I guess if i was a crackhead I could compare it to crack-cocaine…but I’m not…So I guess heli skiing is my crack. This video is awesome, watch these guys ski perfect pillows and AK-lookalike runs, get jealous as they shred all day then go back to the lodge and get served gourmet food. Ever wonder what the boys over at Dendrite Studios are doing? Well… they have been putting their artistic talent to work. Nicolas Teichrob put together this short film that explores winters in the Coast Mountains of British Columbia. The motif of the film is our relationship with the freezing level. ZERO DEGREES. People living in the Pacific North West appreciate what precipitation brings (in form of rain or snow) and they make the most out of both conditions.

When it storms in Whistler, particularly in January, there is no place on earth as magical. The snow just keeps falling, fat flakes all the way to the valley.
