Jackson Hole-More Snow is Bon

February 25th, 2011 by

Today was monumental.  Each night a little more snow and wind really fixes things up properly.  If you could stand the crowds in the morning, there was some amazing riding to be had.  The snow report only claimed 4″, but it was skiing much deeper.  Anywhere you went today was a good call. The sun shining through and it was snowing.  Lots of smiles and lots of face shots.  Hope the crowds will leave soon so we can get the walk on trams back.

February 23 – Spearhead Peak

February 23rd, 2011 by

February 23nd started off sunny and ended cold and cloudy.  The early morning sun prompted Austin Ross and I to head out and ski a line off of Spearhead peak. We hoped the snow was still somewhat cherry because the snow in bounds however was hard pack and lame. With the cold temperatures and extreme wind tonight expect to find some deep pockets in the backcountry as well as lots of loading. Although the avalanche advisory is Considerable if something gives… it’s going to slide big. So be careful when outside the resort.

Helmet Cam Footage Usually Sucks, Not This Time! Trust Me.

February 22nd, 2011 by

After the storm came the blue skies and in turn long days.  We spent the evenings watching sun sets and skiing powder in the Blackcomb Backcountry.  Many lines that had been boney all season have finally filled in, so we got amongst it.  The video consits of Shane C, Matty richard, Johnny bluecorn, and Ryan Oakden, shredding it.  The sun was fun but the snow falling outside right now should bring some more powder.

Rob and Tom worked together for years at the front desk at the Cliff Lodge. It is awesome to see that they are still getting after it together.
