Presidential Sunshine and Quality Turns
Presidents weekend has come and gone and Stowe is rockin’, both on and off the hill. Leading up to the mayhem, rumors were flying about the amount of rippers expected to sample the best (and perhaps only) skiing on the East Coast. 8000, 8500, 9500, 12,000!!!???
Someone, not us, knows and actually cares about the final count.
What is known, is that super turns are there for the taking if…you know where to look.
"C" is for Carve
Get Up and Get Out! The quad, which serves up some of the best lift serve vertical in the land, starts turning at 7:30 every day this week. The grooming crew is killing it laying down perfect Cord all over the place.

Tree skiing is sweet these days as well, provided you can deal with some pucker. The ankle biters are covered or a least visible and the snow is cold, hard and straight up good!

East Coast skiers, listen up! Disregard the Robin’s skirting around your yard and have faith that the beautiful yellow tulips showing their colors are just plain wrong! Wax up the boards, get your ski mojo on and high tail it to Stowe. It’s on and bountiful goodness awaits!

Hell yea, stowe/smuggs seems to be where its at this year on the EC for snow. Hope that keeps up through next week when I finally get out there.
Stowe sucks. I am New Englander who avoids Stowe at all costs and refuses to pay $90 to rub elbows with pretentious elitist douche bags. Don’t sugar coat it, this season is a joke and the conditions are god awful. “Roy as far as the eye can see”??? Yea along with millions of little kids and families on overcrowded trails turning the conditions to shit by 11am. Take my advice people, wait until school vacation week is over and you’ll have the mountain to yourself. Just sayin.

Whiteface is in great condition especially given the winter we’ve had. Over the weekend, lots of Canadians making very favorable comments on our snow quality, lack of lift lines and asking about WF season pass prices… Stowe is def not the only place skiing good on the east coast bro.
